Ubisoft has officially rolled out update 1.6.0 for Star Wars Outlaws, bringing with it a wide range of gameplay improvements, fresh content, and a free cosmetic pack called Skeleton Crew. Released alongside the new story DLC titled A Pirate’s Fortune, this patch enhances the overall player experience across all platforms.

    Patch Sizes on All Platforms

The update is now available on:

    • PlayStation 5 – 6.17 GB

    • Xbox Series X/S – 8.55 GB

    • PC (Ubisoft Connect) – 10.21 GB

    • PC (Steam) – 8.5 GB

    Major Gameplay Enhancements

One of the standout features in this patch is the ability to freely shoot while riding a Speeder using Kay’s weapon. This long-awaited addition gives players more control during high-speed sequences and enhances combat fluidity.

In addition, switching between two-handed weapons and the standard blaster is now smoother and more intuitive, helping players adapt quickly during intense battles.

    Trailblazer Customization and Passive Systems

Customization options for the Trailblazer have also been improved. The update introduces new passive systems that add unique gameplay effects and strategic variety, giving players more freedom to tailor their experience.

New Space Contracts and AI Improvements

A set of brand-new Space Contracts has been added, each offering unique challenges that expand on the game’s open-world bounty and exploration systems. Players can now look forward to more mission variety and replay value.

    Other gameplay improvements include:

    • Better cover-shooting mechanics, making it easier to fire while staying behind obstacles

    • Enhanced enemy AI behavior while in cover

    • Refined movement animations for Kay when ascending or descending stairs and slopes

Visual Upgrades: RTXDI and Ray Reconstruction

Graphically, the game has received visual enhancements through updates to RTXDI lighting and Ray Reconstruction, leading to better lighting accuracy and overall atmosphere, particularly in dimly lit environments or space scenes.

    Free Skeleton Crew Cosmetic Pack

To celebrate the launch of A Pirate’s Fortune, Ubisoft is giving all players a free Skeleton Crew Cosmetic Pack, which includes:

    • A trophy item for the Speeder

    • A charm that can be equipped on either the Trailblazer or Kay’s weapon

    • A new outfit for Nix, the player’s adorable companion

These items can be collected from the delivery crate aboard the Trailblazer after installing the update.

Final Thoughts: A Strong Update That Keeps Outlaws Fresh

Patch 1.6.0 for Star Wars Outlaws delivers more than just bug fixes—it brings meaningful gameplay enhancements, cosmetic rewards, and better performance. The ability to shoot while riding a Speeder alone adds a cinematic flair to exploration and combat, and the Skeleton Crew pack is a thoughtful bonus for fans.

If you’ve already explored the galaxy in Star Wars Outlaws, now’s the perfect time to return—and if you haven’t yet, the latest update makes the experience smoother, more polished, and even more exciting.
