The teaser video was shared through the game’s official Twitter account, and it didn’t stop there—several other online platforms also received updates, hinting that something big may be coming soon.
Updated Online Presence Sparks Fan Excitement
Along with the teaser video, the header image on the Marathon Twitter page was changed to reflect the game’s latest visuals. Not long after, PlayStation followed suit and updated its own header with an image related to Marathon, fueling speculation across the gaming community.
Fans also noticed updates on the game’s Steam page, Facebook, and YouTube profiles. To top it off, a mysterious new MIDA account appeared on Twitter, believed to be part of the marketing build-up. These changes led many to believe that more detailed news about Marathon is just around the corner.
A Separate Showcase Might Be on the Way
According to Jeff Grubb, a well-known games journalist, Marathon was not included in February’s State of Play event because PlayStation is planning a dedicated showcase for it. He previously mentioned that April is the target month for this event, which means an official announcement could be very close.
While Bungie and PlayStation haven’t confirmed any dates yet, all the recent signs suggest that we won’t have to wait much longer to hear more.
