According to GamingBolt, Microids has finally unveiled the first teaser trailer for Syberia Remastered, offering a glimpse into the visual and technical improvements in this modern reimagining of the beloved classic adventure game.
Real-Time Visual Overhaul
Unlike the original version, which relied on pre-rendered environments, the remastered edition now features fully real-time rendered scenes. This shift brings significant visual upgrades, including:
- Dynamic lighting and shadows
- Subtle volumetric fog in certain areas
- Occasional reflective surfaces
While the trailer doesn’t confirm ray tracing support, the visual presentation already feels more immersive and atmospheric than ever before.
Redesigned Characters and Textures
Textures across the game have been completely overhauled, and it’s particularly noticeable in characters like Oscar, who now appears sharper, more polished, and more expressive. Kate Walker’s animations—the game’s protagonist—also look fluid and natural, reflecting the care put into modernizing her movements and interactions.
Gameplay Improvements Announced
Alongside the visual enhancements, Microids has confirmed that Syberia Remastered will include several key gameplay updates:
- Improved controls
- Updated UI
- Refined puzzles with better logic and more intuitive visual design
Although more gameplay footage is still to come, this short teaser alone suggests that the team is aiming for a faithful yet enhanced remake of Benoît Sokal’s classic.
Release Window
Syberia Remastered is scheduled for release in Q4 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
