According to recent news, the development of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, created by Sandfall Interactive studio, has officially been completed.

This announcement came 33 days before the game’s official release date on April 24, 2025. According to the developers, this turn-based role-playing game is now in its final development stage, with the team currently busy polishing details before the official release.

In an official statement, the development team said:

“We started this project aiming to create our dream game—a passionate effort developed by a small group of RPG enthusiasts, artists, musicians, and friends. Now, with the game finalized, this dream has become a reality.”

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 tells the story of Paintress, a mysterious character who writes a special number on a monolith, causing the destruction of everyone who reaches that age. To stop this threat, a group from the city of Lumiere embarks on a dangerous mission to defeat Paintress and prevent further disaster. However, in a world inspired by France’s Belle Époque era, things don’t always go according to plan, and unexpected challenges arise.

One of the game’s main strengths is its professional voice-acting team, featuring famous actors such as:

    • Charlie Cox (Daredevil)
    • Jennifer English (Baldur’s Gate 3)
    • Shala Nyx (The Old Guard)
    • Christie Ryder (The Sandman)
    • Andy Serkis and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy 16)

Graphically, the game was developed using Unreal Engine 5, delivering stunning visuals. According to the released details, the main storyline offers over 30 hours of gameplay, promising a deep and immersive experience for RPG fans.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and will be available for $50.

As the release date approaches, more details about gameplay, story, and features will be revealed. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
