Last month, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco officially announced that the critically acclaimed Elden Ring will be launching on Nintendo Switch 2 under a new edition titled Tarnished Edition. Now, new details have emerged regarding what players can expect from this version.

     Two Exclusive Classes Revealed

According to a report from Famitsu, during the recent FromSoftware Games Event held in Tokyo, the developer confirmed that the Switch 2 version of Elden Ring will include two brand-new character classes: the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Knight.

While the names were revealed, no further information has been provided yet regarding their combat styles, attributes, or how they will affect gameplay.

     New Gear and Customization Options

In addition to the new classes, players can look forward to four new sets of armor, weapons, and combat skills being added to the game. The beloved mount Torrent will also receive three new customization options, giving players more ways to personalize their adventure across the Lands Between.

Content Coming to Other Platforms Too

All of this content will be bundled as part of a separate DLC pack titled Tarnished Pack, which will also be available for other platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

     Global Sales and Release Info

Elden Ring is currently available on eighth and ninth-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC. While a specific release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version has not yet been announced, the game’s momentum continues to grow. It has now officially sold over 30 million copies worldwide, solidifying its place as one of the most successful action RPGs of all time.
