The upcoming Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound—a modern reimagining of the classic Ninja Gaiden series—has just introduced its second playable character, Komori, in a brand-new trailer.
Komori is a mysterious and deadly member of the infamous Black Spider Clan, a long-time enemy faction within the Ninja Gaiden universe. Unlike the main hero, Komori rejects traditional ninja ways. Instead, he uses modern weaponry, dark magic, and demonic energy to take down his enemies. The new gameplay footage offers a closer look at Komori’s fast, lethal combat style and his supernatural abilities.
Story and Setting
The story of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound picks up after the original NES version. Following the death of his father, Ryu Hayabusa sets out on a quest for revenge. Along the way, a new character named Kenji Mozu, a young and inexperienced ninja from the Hayabusa clan, joins the fight.
Things take an exciting turn when Kenji and Komori’s fates become intertwined. Together, they unlock a powerful ability known as Ninja Fusion—a combination of both their skills that becomes crucial in defeating massive enemies and powerful demons.
Visuals and Soundtrack
The game features gorgeous pixel art environments and highly detailed enemy designs, capturing the retro spirit with a modern touch. Alongside its stunning visuals, Ragebound also delivers a standout soundtrack featuring guest composers who bring intense, dynamic energy to every moment.
